Mobile banking N26 continues its offensive. The German company now offers its customers to open a savings account from the app. For now, this new feature is only available in Germany.
To launch savings accounts, N26 entered into a partnership with Raisin, a Berlin start-up that is developing an online platform to allow its clients to invest their savings in banks across Europe, without incurring any fees. . The platform acts as a link between customers and European banks to offer term accounts of the Livret A or PEL type. N26 specifies that customers, who open a savings account, will be able to benefit from an interest rate of up to 1.5% per year.
Last March, N26 passed the 300,000 customer mark. In France, the German FinTech claims to garner 2,000 new users per week.
