While the relationships between large companies and start-ups continue to flourish, Yoomap, a French specialist in open innovation software, launched Start-Up Relationship Management (SURM) at the start of the year. This collaborative tool makes it possible to manage the relationships of large companies with start-ups as part of an innovation strategy. If the platform is initially aimed at CAC40 groups, it is nevertheless attracting more and more small businesses.
This is the case of the real estate developer Groupe Pichet, claiming 1,000 employees, who decided to equip themselves with the Yoomap SURM. “We were surprised to see that more and more mid-size companies were contacting us to set up a tool to manage their relationship with start-ups», Note Richard Biquillon, CEO of Yoomap. The protection of their data and their network is one of the major concerns of companies today. A ransomware-type attack, like the ones that have taken place in recent weeks, is indeed likely to completely block its operation. It is in this context that Bomgar, specialist in securing access management, interviewed 608 decision-makers around the world.
It shows that nearly 90% of these decision-makers say they trust employees who have privileged access internally. While corporate security specialists believe that there is little risk that their employees are the source of malicious acts, they fear their negligence, especially if they have access to sensitive data.
More worryingly, only 37% of respondents know precisely who has privileged access within their company, and a third of them even believe that former employees could still have access to the internal network. Finally, the experts surveyed estimate that on average, 181 service providers have access to their network each week, which is twice as many as in 2016.
