Visiomed, manufacturer of connected products for medicine, is opening up a new avenue of diversification. The French, who recently presented the VisioCheck at CES in Las Vegas to equip doctors with a new data collection device, announced the acquisition of the start-up Epiderm, specializing in telemedicine for dermatology. The platform connects a patient on tablet and mobile to have a consultation with a specialist. The amount of this acquisition has not been specified.
In this market, there are other networking platforms geared towards general practitioners, such as Hellocare or MedecinDirect. Based near Rennes since 2015, the Epiderm service is available for 29 euros.
Founded by Eric Sebban (opposite), Visiomed comes in 65th place in the FrenchWeb 500 ranking, the ranking of French tech companies.

For nearly 3 in 4 consumers, there is a direct link between watching a branded video on social media, and a purchase decision made afterwards, according to the results of a study conducted by Brightcove.
Another finding of the study, consumption habits vary according to age. 18-25 year olds, who spend an average of 9 hours per week watching videos on social networks, are the most active on Snapchat or Instagram. 26-34 year olds are the ones who interact the most with brands (at 89%, or 8 points above the average), and who are the most sensitive to brand videos (at 84%). Finally, those over 55 are more suspicious of influencers. Indeed, 46% say they are wary of videos made by celebrities or bloggers.

This is 24% more than in 2016. Apple’s brand value fell by 27% to reach $ 107 billion. With a top 10 largely dominated by American brands, it should be noted that the first French brand appears in 153rd place. This is Airbus, valued at $ 9.2 billion.
