[INSIDERS] Orange Digital Ventures sets its sights on 5G with BandwidthX …
With this operation, Orange plans to rely on the virtual platform designed by BandwidthX to increase the coverage of its network. “This concept makes it possible to automatically link supply and demand with a view to occasionally sharing the capacity of the excess networks of Wi-Fi providers”, specifies Orange in its press release. BandwidthX could in particular help Orange in the preparatory work for 5G.
Autonomy at work and the provision of collaborative tools contribute to the well-being and creativity of employees. This is what emerges from the study on well-being at work carried out by Dropbox and Ipsos MORI. The results of this survey were presented on Thursday during a lunch-debate at Shaker, the start-up campus of Partech, in Paris. Conducted with 5,000 employees around the world, including 700 in France, this study aimed to study the way of working in French and international companies in the digital age.
Thus, 77% of collaborative and independent workers say they feel good at the office. 65% of them even perceive a feeling of creativity in their workplace. Conversely, only 25% of workers who are not autonomous and do not have the tools to work collaboratively feel they are creative at work. For the sample surveyed, the new corporate culture, brought about by the establishment of collaborative tools, facilitates external communication for 39% of them, improves internal communication for 32% of employees, and increase productivity for 30% of employees.

The majority of companies have not yet integrated digital into their business strategy. In fact, 38% of executives believe that digital does not threaten their company’s business model, and only 35% believe that their company has defined a clear digital transformation strategy, according to a recent report produced by the Chair dedicated to information systems at the Technical University of Munich.
Asked about the skills they believe are necessary to successfully complete their digital transformation, 88% of respondents say that it is necessary for the IT department to have knowledge of the company’s industry. 57% believe that sales executives should also have technical skills. Finally, while 73% of respondents believe that advanced data analysis skills are necessary, only 39% say they have them.

84% of French city dwellers believe that collaborative consumption promotes social bonding, and 83% believe that it allows savings, according to the 4th Barometer on collaborative consumption of Iligo published on Tuesday, June 29. Another lesson learned from the study is that respondents are most interested in group purchasing offers for food products (68%), followed by empty-dressing and carpooling offers (56%).

Frédéric Layer becomes Head of Southern Europe for TubeMogul
TubeMogul, publisher of advertising campaign management software, has decided to appoint Frederic Layer as Director Southern Europe. In his new role, he will lead the development of the group’s activities, in particular with the opening of new offices in Spain and Italy. Previously, Frédéric Layer was Managing Director in charge of digital activities at the advertising agency IPG Mediabrands.
Jérémy Prats joins WiSEED as manager of participations monitoring
