The French start-up Misterb & b, which is developing an apartment rental platform focused on the LGBT community, has completed a funding round of $ 8.5 million. The Berlin-based Project A fund and Ventech took part in the operation.
Founded in 2014 by Matthew Jost, Marc Dedonder, Francois de Landes and Chris Sinton, Misterb & b was initially aimed at homosexuals but now wishes to become the inclusive platform of the LGBT community. “While the collaborative economy and peer-to-peer rentals are growing, gay hosts and travelers don’t always feel welcome or even safe.», Explains Matthieu Jost, co-founder and CEO of Misterb & b. To date, the start-up claims 100,000 hosts in 135 countries on its platform.

The start-up Ze-Watt, which designed an electric vehicle charging service at the workplace, raised 1 million euros. MPcroissance, Takara Capital, CA Toulouse 31 Initiatives and Bpifrance took part in this round table.
Launched in April 2015 by Eric Gaigneux, Ze-Watt offers companies the opportunity to set up electrical “service stations” in the workplace. Once registered on the platform, employees can identify themselves at the terminals using an access badge and thus recharge their electric car. Currently, the Toulouse start-up claims 300 users in Paris, Lyon and Toulouse. Among its customers, the company notably counts Airbus, Enedis and Safran.
With this funding round, Ze-Watt plans to extend its concept in France. To do this, the start-up wants to double its workforce to reach the 20 employee mark by the end of 2017.

The mobile augmented reality market could generate up to $ 65 billion in revenue by 2021, according to Digi-Capital estimates taken over by Venture Beat.
