With audiences envied by many media professionals, e-sport continues to attract brands, but also investors. Since 2011, $ 714 million has been invested in the sector, according to data CB Insights. The analysis firm, which has identified a little more than 100 fundraising in the sector for five years, notes a marked acceleration in investments in 2015: the amounts invested have indeed tripled between 2014 and 2015, the number operations as well.
Another observation is that nearly 173 million dollars were invested in companies in the sector in the first half of 2016, an increase of 127% compared to the first half of 2015. Finally, it should be noted that the most important operation carried out since the start of the year is the fundraising of Chinese DouyuTV for a total amount of $ 100 million.

In discussions for several months with the unions about the reorganization of the group, the management of SFR presented to the unions a plan to reduce its workforce, which will be implemented from 2017, according to information from Reuters. The telecom operator could cut up to 5,000 jobs out of the 15,000 it currently has, a reduction of a third of its workforce, we learn from union sources.
