Zanox, a performance-based advertising network in Europe, has just published an infographic featuring the main figures of its study on changes in m-commerce. Based on more than a thousand advertiser programs that are members of its network, this survey shows an increase of 313% in turnover generated by mobile phones, between the last quarter of 2011 and the fourth quarter of 2010.
The infographic also highlights the leverage that tablets provide for m-commerce. Indeed, according to the company, in December 2011, the iPad would have been at the origin of 50% of the total turnover generated by the mobile channel. Xanox also notes that on its network, the average revenue per transaction on iPad is 63% higher than the iPhone and twice as high as on Android devices.
Other teaching: the Nordic countries would rank at the top of m-commerce, with the highest share of overall turnover. Finally, with a 362% increase in mobile sales between 2010 and 2011, Zanox considers the distribution sector to be the locomotive of m-commerce in Europe.
