How PeopleDoc strengthens its workforce to expand internationally
Founded in 2007, under the name Novapost, the company PeopleDoc, which is developing an HR document dematerialization solution, continues its international expansion. Today, the company, launched by Jonathan Benhamou and Clément Buyse, boasts 600 customers, 3 million users and a presence in France, England, Germany, the United States and Canada.
To support its expansion, PeopleDoc plans to recruit 80 additional employees in 2017. The company is mainly looking for developers, but also project managers, customer success managers and customer support managers. These profiles targeted by PeopleDoc should strengthen the company’s 180 current employees, 120 of whom are based in France. Beyond the skills required, Jonathan Benhamou, co-founder and CEO of PeopleDoc, relies above all on the temperament of his future recruits. “I realized that the company culture and the candidate’s personality are the first criteria during an interview», He confides.
Central bases to conquer neighboring countries
In order to be efficient in its recruitment process, the Parisian company secured the services, at the beginning of 2016, of an internal recruiter. “This allowed us to recruit profiles with much less turnover since the recruiter understands exactly the needs of each team.», Explains Jonathan Benhamou.
After setting up in England, Germany and Canada last year, the company plans to continue its internationalization strategy according to a specific model. From a central base established in a country, PeopleDoc can deploy its influence all around it. For example, from Germany, the company recruited new employees to operate in the Netherlands and Switzerland. Likewise, PeopleDoc was able to establish itself in Canada after opening an office in New York. After Europe and North America, Jonathan Benhamou’s company plans to launch in Asia in the longer term.
