How Les Lunes combines e-commerce and physical stores

by bold-lichterman

The start-up Moons was founded in 2012 by Mélanie Viallon and Anna Lecat. The company markets clothing made from bamboo. The garment is made in China, designed in France and sold in a physical store in the United States. In order to coordinate these three teams present in different countries, the founders decided to use Dropbox. In this way, all documents are stored in the Cloud, nothing is present in the computer, which avoids losing information.

No store has yet been opened in France. The products are only accessible on the website. The 5 stores were created in the United States because Anna Lecat is Franco-American. But that’s not the only reason. “The United States was a market choice. […] San Francisco is at the heart of global innovation, also at the heart of new movements in terms of the environment and all the excitement about the future of the world», Specifies Mélanie Viallon, the co-founder of Les Lunes.
