Google has just launched the Google Fit Platform, an API centralizing all the data from a multitude of different applications. The user therefore has access to all of his statistics in one and the same place, allowing him to have a more global view than when the data is fragmented between different applications.
Nike has already announced that it will adapt its Fuel solutions to make them compatible with the Google Fit Platform and Adidas is expected to launch compatible bracelets soon. This Google announcement comes after the arrival of Health from Apple during the last Keynote.
In addition, Google is adding a new string to its bow in the cloud. The Mountain View firm announced at its annual conference on Wednesday the addition of a data processing feature to its cloud offering.
