Google Analytics is expanding its sharing functionality, allowing users to share their personalized dashboards.
Google Analytics unveils its new functionality: while it was already possible for users to configure personalized dashboards according to their needs, they can now share them through their Google profile.
Until now, users could only share their dashboard configurations. Now, they can also share the dashboards themselves, which in particular facilitates teamwork on a dashboard. Large sites, which employ large staff, will be able to entrust the creation of a dashboard to a single person, who will then share it with the rest of the team.
This possibility is all the more relevant as Google analytics is used by many large web companies, such as OVH, Amazon, Ask.com or even Pinterest. In France, Google Analytics is the most used web analysis tool by the top 200 sites in the Alexa ranking (71% penetration rate).
This new feature should be available in the coming weeks. Once set up, it will be accessible in the users’ “Share” menu. The shared dashboards will then appear in the navigation menu on the left in Google Analytics.
