Based in Beijing, the game publisher currently claims nearly 25 million active players per month.

The start-up Yodo1 has just finalized a funding round of 5 million dollars (3.8 million euros) with SingTel Innov8, a venture capital arm of a mobile operator. The historic shareholder Changyou Fund also participated in this new fundraising.

Led by Henry Fong, the Chinese publisher is working closely with Western developers to adapt a series of titles to the Chinese market. The start-up thus takes the initial code of a game and adds some details to it to make it “more local”. This is particularly the case for the Ski Safari title, initially developed by an Australian company.

Yodo1 Today claims nearly 25 million monthly active players and would have 5 to 6 million new followers each month.
