[FW Radar] Whoog, the management solution for staff replacements in healthcare establishments

by bold-lichterman

Founded in 2015 by Guerric Faure, Michael Rabaron, Francis Pinault embarked on the entrepreneurial adventure by launching Whoog. A solution for managing staff replacements in the medical sector, based on employee volunteering but also aimed at other sectors related to health.

More details with Guerric Faure, co-founder and managing director:

FrenchWeb: what need does your service meet?

To deal with absenteeism or an unplanned increase in activity, Whoog responds to the need to manage staff replacements in healthcare establishments.

Department managers spend up to 50% of their time managing replacements.

Employees on rest are called back to work, which generates social tensions and contributes to burnout. Finally, the use of temporary workers is expensive. This phenomenon reduces the quality of care.

What is your value proposition?

Whoog is the healthcare recruitment and replacement solution developed in collaboration with the Montpellier University Hospital. Whoog makes it possible to find the right person at the right time by optimizing the cost of replacements, by reducing administrative constraints and by retaining the community of replacements: the Whoogers. Whoog can also take into account legal regulatory constraints such as, for example, respect for rest time and respect for overtime policies.

Who are the users of your solutions?

Volunteer employees apply in their establishment, they choose their skills, their services and indicate their availability. The confirmation of their application is done in one click by the HRD. Service managers launch a mission in a few clicks, Whoog takes care of the rest (find the replacement, edit contracts, manage administration). Whoog also makes it possible to call on occasional retired or student contractors.

Whoog is used daily by tens of thousands of users. Currently more than 1,000 missions are launched every day in France.

What is your development plan?

Whoog is now embarking on inter-hospital replacements to meet the demand of the GHT (Groupements Hospitaliers de Territoire).

Whoog is growing very strongly in terms of the number of customers, use and turnover.

The company is in financial equilibrium.

Whoog is recruiting 10 new employees before the summer.

Internationalization is also an issue; we plan to open new markets in 2019.

What are your challenges?

– market: the healthcare market in France and internationally

– business: always accelerate more

– financial: no immediate issues

– HR: many recruitments in progress

Who are your competitors?

Whoog has 3 years of feedback. It is functionally deeper and adapts to clients. The heart of the technology is patented. Finally, we have a strong reputation based on the feedback from our customers.
