FrenchWeb: What needs does your service meet?

Jonathan-OleszkiewiczJonathan Oleszkiewicz, co-founder of MedPics: Founded in 2015 by Dr Safia Slimani, MedPics is a mobile application for sharing clinical cases in France.

For the record, Dr Safia Slimani was faced with a case that she could not resolve on a patient. So she asked for help on the social network Facebook. It took 2 years for her to get an answer. That’s how she came up with the idea to create MedPics.

Our application therefore allows the sharing of photos between health professionals who can discuss diagnoses, treatments or management in real time while sharing clinical cases without ever endangering the anonymity of patients.

What is your value proposition?

Our tool a free mobile application and web platform. It brings together the entire medical profession in a single space to exchange practices and advice on cases.

Who are the users of your solutions?

The application is reserved for professionals and students in health. It already brings together more than 30,000 members who participate in conversations about diagnostics.

No more doctor alone in his office, now he can receive help from the professional community, and this is a big step towards improving the care of his patients.

Our users use the application as a place of learning or development based on collective intelligence.

What is your development plan?

We have decided to open our tool to new perspectives through the creation of private groups within the application.

What are your challenges?

We want to redefine the scope of application of continuing education for healthcare professionals, give CPD a makeover by offering a 100% mobile, 100% longitudinal, 100% business, 100% practical and 100% agile solution.

We want to find the sufficient number of healthcare professionals willing to go 100% mobile to quickly turn a profit.

Who are your competitors?

Figure 1 is our main competitor but it is an application developed only in Anglo-Saxon countries and there is advertising.

On the other hand there is MeltingDoc. There is no anonymization of the health professional. No bookmarking. No cat. No research.

We are a French-speaking application and based on an advertising-free business model. The application is free and will remain free for our users.
