Saturday afternoon, you receive test results and some values ​​do not seem good to you. What are you doing?

More generally, access to care is becoming more complex in France with the 15th and saturated emergencies, congested practices and medical desertification. Today, it takes an average of 6 days to see a general practitioner, 68 days to see a gynecologist and 117 days to see an ophthalmologist.

And yet, 1 in 4 people have already said after the fact that a doctor’s visit was not necessary, and 1 in 2 cases can be resolved remotely according to Medgate (Switzerland).

What’s your value proposition?

Medaviz is a service that allows you to call doctors, live and 24/7, all graduates in France and registered with the French order. It’s instantaneous, it’s reliable and it’s reassuring!

All you need to do is dial a landline number, use the Web app or be in Web call-back on a tablet. You can then talk to the doctor of your choice at any time, to ask him your daily health questions and get a first opinion, or even be referred if necessary.

Who are the users of your solutions?

Our service can be used by anyone! Especially since we have developed an automatic and scalable telephone platform, which avoids any brake on use (non-technophilia, digital divide, etc.).

Users mainly call general practitioners, pediatricians, gynecologists and psychologists. However, this will probably change over the contracts we sign.

We are already seeing a recurrence in usage, with 30% of callers called the service twice or more in the past 6 months.

What is your development plan?

Here is our development plan:

  • Product: we are in the process of obtaining teleconsultation approval, which will allow our doctors to issue prescriptions in certain cases (regulations are slowly changing…!). At the same time, we are developing the possibility of videoconferencing and sending PJs before a call.

  • Growth: 35,000 people have access to Medaviz today. Our goal is to expand it to 200,000 people by the end of 2017.

What are your challenges?

We have different issues:

  • Market: Generate usage! Patients should take the reflex to call Medaviz, rather than visiting anxiety-inducing sites or going to their doctor when this is not always necessary.

  • Financial: We will close our fundraising on 31/5 next for an amount of 1.2 million euros.

  • RH: We plan to recruit two developers and two sales representatives later this year, to accelerate technical developments and our business growth.

Who are your competitors?

Health forums and other information online! It is often very anxiety-provoking content and not suitable for the person viewing it. We provide a personalized response because it is linked to a specific case, issued by a qualified doctor.
