[FW Radar] Matvisio, the e-health solution to visualize musculoskeletal disorders
Launched in 2015 by William Houx-Plantier and Florian Lavorel, Dem publishes the solution Matvisio. The latter makes it possible to visualize musculoskeletal disorders in order to reduce them.
More details with William Houx-Plantier, co-founder of Dem Soft.
FrenchWeb: What needs does your service meet?
William Houx-Plantier, co-founder of Dem: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) include around fifteen diseases that affect the muscles, tendons and nerves of the limbs and the spine. MSDs are expressed by pain but also, for those of the upper limb, by stiffness, clumsiness or loss of strength.
Disabling or even disabling, musculoskeletal disorders have social and economic consequences for employees, companies and for society.
Matvisio is an innovative software solution to prevent and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders linked to one’s physical activities. It is an immediate visual feedback of the impact on his body of the modifications made to his gestures and postures.
Our tool is used in professional situations, during sports activities and in the field of health prevention.
What is your value proposition?
Our service was developed in partnership with an ergonomist and according to INRS standards.
We use computer vision technology: real time, no worn sensors and allows the user to behave naturally and without constraints related to use. It is quick to install, easy to use, objective data is immediately available.
Who are the users of your solutions?
Our users are all stakeholders in the field of occupational health, ergonomics, functional rehabilitation, vocational training and prevention of joint risks associated with sports activity.
The different modules of the solution make it possible to respond to more or less complex issues: awareness and training, biofeedback, decision support, data analysis and studies.
What is your development plan?
Here is our development plan:
Product: Continue to develop new services around the solution. Package the offer according to the different market segments. Great attention is paid to R&D enriched by customer experiences and feedback.
Growth: We are responding to a multisectoral and international issue, so our ambition is to generalize the use of MATVISIO and to establish ourselves internationally (we were also recently contacted by a Quebec organization).
What are your challenges?
Our challenges are:
– market: After 5 months of marketing, we signed licensing contracts with big names in the industry and vocational training. We are going to strengthen our commercial action in the occupational health sector, sports activity and the medical environment.
– financial: We obtained the BPI French tech grant in 2016 and we are preparing our first fundraising.
– HR: Recruit the sales force that MATVISIO needs to meet the needs of different markets and strengthen the development team.
Who are your competitors?
Our competitors offer systems based on 2D video recording which require a long work of viewing and post-recording analysis, virtual reality solutions in dedicated rooms or based on sensors worn by the user.
We differ from them because the analysis is done in real time and the data is generated as soon as the recording is completed, the observation is made at the real place of the activity and the user does not need to ‘no sensor worn.
