FrenchWeb: What needs does BSWEB meet?
Sébastien Bernis, founder of BSWEB: Today, a large number of brands and e-merchants have understood that it is necessary to monitor their competitors and their resellers on a daily basis in order to develop their business. The problem is that the number of marketing communication channels is exploding and it is now impossible to monitor them manually. This is why BSWEB has developed a first innovative solution called PriceComparator.pro. It is an online SaaS solution accessible 24/7 which monitors the online prices of their competitors or their resellers to enable them to calmly deploy their own pricing strategy, increase their margins and their competitiveness.
With a global strategic vision, we immediately integrated the need to supplement price watch with other information from the marketing mix (price, product, promotion, distribution). So in 2017 we started to develop a brand new solution called HumanResponsive. Dedicated to brands and e-merchants but also to Web agencies and consultants, it allows real-time comparison of all the online marketing of a company compared to its competitors. The idea is to map a company’s marketing strategy to identify its strengths and weaknesses, and to better exceed it.
What is your value proposition?
PriceComparator.pro was designed to help e-merchants and brands on a daily basis in their marketing strategy. Being informed in real time of the pricing strategy of players in your sector of activity gives real peace of mind when it comes to making choices to remain competitive, react to competing campaigns and above all anticipate changes. No need to be a specialist or to resort to an external service provider, our desire is to provide our clients with the information they need to act, without overloading and without wasting time.
With our tool, our e-commerce customers have gained more than 30% on average market share on the competitive products that they have decided to monitor. Internationally, it has proven to be a powerful tool for brands by saving them time but above all by providing them with valuable information to boost their sales and improve their brand image with their dealers.
In the end, we could summarize quite simply that we allow an e-merchant to:
Significantly improve its turnover through price competitiveness.
Optimize your margin if the price is too low compared to the competition.
Intervene with the brand if competitors are not playing the game.
Optimize your strategy by taking into account stocks, sales frequencies, etc.
And we allow a brand to:
Anticipate cascading price cuts, the consequence of which is the loss of margin for resellers and therefore their preference for more profitable competing brands.
Increase its sales and brand image by sending its sales force who have out of stock to their site.
We are clearly an immediately profitable decision support tool when used daily.
In the end, our goal is to make Big Data speak to help brands and resellers gain market share and increase their turnover, by optimizing or even reducing their marketing budget! Magic eh!
Who are the users of your solutions?
The first users are the CEOs, that is to say company directors or marketing directors. These are the people who will make strategic decisions on the basis of the daily reports of our pricing monitoring solution, such as for example the modification of prices, the launch of an emailing campaign, a promotion, etc.
Web agencies are also users of our solutions, as they can quickly do market research in a given sector. We are able to give them the market leaders, best-selling brands, product categories, average prices, new arrivals, etc. All this data enables them to offer their customers the services they really need with a reduced risk of marketing waste.
What is your development plan?
Here is our development plan:
Product: We want to switch to version 2.0 of PriceComparator.pro by the end of 2017 by integrating a set of graphics and data making it possible to understand everything in the blink of an eye on its market.
Ethics: Optimizing business marketing was inseparable from exemplary behavior in designing our own solutions. In an avant-garde way, the code is therefore optimized on the server side and especially on the client side to consume the least possible resources. Our robots also integrate a responsible dimension that respects the sites we explore when they search for information. We are fully committed to the sustainable design of the digital tools of tomorrow and are recognized as such.
Growth: Exceed the 100 customer mark on PriceComprator.pro before the end of the year, and continue to attract customers from SMEs to large accounts. By the end of 2017, we will also launch our first fundraising in order to develop more quickly our global solution planned for the end of 2018.
Who are your competitors?
Our main competitor is a human-excel hybrid. In other words, it is a person behind his computer who enters the products by hand (often outside France) in a software having the appearance of an Excel file.
Our innovation is in the user experience through the intuitive aspect of our solution which allows immediate handling without outside help. But above all, we stand out from our competitors by the speed and automation of all the processes required to set up a customer account. This allows us to break the usual market prices with a high level of quality. We are saving the best for last: a small revolution is planned soon to automatically test our online solution… enough to remove the last brakes of the most skeptical!
What are the challenges of BSWEB?
Here are our different challenges:
Market: To succeed in penetrating the world market, we are already present everywhere in Europe but also on other continents… soon.
Finance: We are looking for investors in order to raise funds of at least 300,000 euros at the end of 2017. These business angels will allow us to speed up the marketing of our HumanResponsive solution and to make ourselves known all over the world.
HR Recruit the exceptional employees (technical, sales and marketing teams) that we need to meet the needs of a growing market. We are very regularly looking for meanstack developers and foolproof business developers (with good hearing…).
