FrenchWeb: What needs does your service meet?
Maxime Delauney, founder of Avoloi: Whether it is to defend themselves or to assert their rights, an individual has had, or will one day have to have recourse to a lawyer. Who to consult? How can I find the right contact person nearby? Who will be able to respond quickly to their legal troubles? At Avoloi we have been responding to this problem for several years now by making it possible to make appointments between individuals, SMEs and lawyers. As soon as the appointment is made, the lawyer is notified by SMS and is required to respond to you as soon as possible. He also undertakes to offer the first consultation if you open a file and to redirect you to a colleague if he cannot respond to the request.
What’s your value proposition?
Individuals who encounter a legal problem (divorce, employee / employer dispute, license withdrawal, etc.) quickly find, thanks to Avoloi, a competent lawyer nearby.
We offer more than 500 lawyers and cover more than 95% of the French territory. We have served over 100,000 users. Our platform demystifies the legal profession by bringing them closer to a clientele that may be hesitant.
Who are the users of your solutions?
Avoloi is a useful platform for anyone looking for a lawyer to answer a legal concern, whether it is an individual or an SME. Thanks to us, lawyers find a new local clientele, and see their turnover increased.
Who are your competitors?
We have different competitors such as Recherche1avocat, Mon Avocat.fr or Callalawyer.
What sets us apart beyond digital support is the added value we bring to our lawyer clients: real monitoring of the transformation of our clients.
What is your development plan?
In the future, we plan to offer an accounting, invoicing and client follow-up service, in order to optimize lawyers’ working time, and we are also studying the synergies between online and offline.
We have recorded 3-digit growth every year for three years to reach 790,000 euros in turnover in 2016.
For internationalization, We remain attentive to opportunities.
What are your challenges
The LegalTech market is necessary in the digital transformation of lawyers. Our activity gives them back the power of digital technology to enhance their know-how. It is obviously not in our approach to compete with their profession but rather to offer them visibility and free up time for them to defend their clients and to relieve themselves of the administrative and commercial function.
The LegalTech market represents no less than 1.5 billion euros in France. It is a booming sector, unlike the US, where it is already more structured.
Development has always been self-financing, our equity allows us to see the future as well. However, we remain attentive to opportunities if a real synergy is offered to us.
In order to be more responsive to our developments, we plan to internalize the development part.
