The month of November 2016 will remain in the annals of French venture capital. With 339 million euros raised in the Tech sector, investments reached their highest level in history, since the indicators have existed. These are in fact new French champions who generated this growth of 269% on the amounts invested compared to the same period in 2015.
3 companies share 83% of the amounts invested
In fact, there are actually three players who capture 83% of the amounts invested in November. Sigfox, with its 150 million euro transaction, comes first followed by Devialet, and its 100 million euros. In third place on the podium is Wynd, who has raised 30 million euros.
The average ticket peaks at 8.7 million euros this month. If we exclude these 3 major deals, it drops to 1.6 million euros. Note, if we consider the evolution of the amounts raised, excluding Sigfox, which received almost half of the funds invested, Devialet and Wynd, the latter have even decreased by 35% compared to last year.
