The French open source data management and integration software publisher Talend raised $ 40 million on Wednesday December 11 from Bpifrance and Iris Capital, with the participation of its historic shareholders Silver Lake Sumeru, Balderton Capital and Idinvest Partners. The operation brings to 130 million dollars the total amount of funds raised since its creation in 2006.
“We are happy to support a great French entrepreneurial story thanks to this fundraising, and thus allow Talend to continue its international development” explains Jean d’Arthuys, Executive Director of Bpifrance.
The company, which today has large accounts among its customers, including SNCF, Orange and CommerzBank, wishes to take advantage of this investment to accelerate its innovation processes, increase its range of products and strengthen its position in big data. “In a constantly changing technological ecosystem, the scalability of Talend solutions allows companies to break down the main barriers to the adoption of modern data platforms, such as NoSQL or Hadoop” explains Bertrand Diard, co-founder of Talend.
