French robot wants to make paraplegics walk

by bold-lichterman

We hear it all over the place since Artificial Intelligence has come back into fashion in the media: “technology must make it possible to change the world”. And we hope for good. This is the objective of Wandercraft, one of the French specialists in robotics. A useful and technologically advanced robotics with a simple but so incredible goal: to make paraplegics walk.

Far from “gadget” robotics or humanoid robotics that scares people or sells paper like the Saudi Sophia, Wandercraft engineers imagine an exoskeleton that allows paraplegics to stand and walk.

Robotics, mechanics, advanced algorithms, the project concentrates very high level research subjects for very concrete application cases. Matthieu Masselin, co-founder of the company, tells us more about the work in progress and the objectives of Wandercraft and its teams for 2018 and beyond.
