Fieldwire, a startup specializing in site management, raised $ 33.5 million in a funding round led by Menlo Ventures, with the participation of Brick & Mortar Ventures, Formation 8 and the Hilti group.
Launched in 2013 by Javed Singha and Yves Frinault, Fieldwire is developing a platform designed to allow construction professionals to follow the progress of a site. Fieldwire also aims to facilitate communication within a site, since it allows all stakeholders to coordinate their work from its mobile application, and thus site managers to make decisions faster. The platform has already been used in more than 500,000 projects around the world.
The Franco-American startup wants to continue its international expansion thanks to this fundraising, which brings the total funding of Fieldwire to 40.4 million dollars. The company, which has already opened offices in Phoenix, Arizona and Paris, plans to also move to Sydney before the end of the year and hire 150 employees by summer 2020. ” Our main goal is to remain extremely agile and aligned with the needs of our customers as the business grows ”, commented Yves Frinault.
