FittingBox, a company launched in 2006, intends to grow. It has just carried out a new fundraising of 2.1 million euros from Innovation Capital and Banexi Ventures. In 2009, it raised 1.5 million euros to develop its web-to-store solution dedicated to optical professionals: brands, major retailers and e-commerce brands. For 8 years now, the company has been developing a virtual try-on and scanning system for glasses, with the main manufacturers in the sector. It produces online HD photo glasses models, 3D models and a 360 ° view of the glasses. In total, its catalog includes more than 40,000 models of digital glasses. It now has 900 customers, representing 10,000 stores around the world.
The fresh funds recently collected will mainly focus on the marketing of the SaaS solution, in France but also internationally. “Already present in 26 countries, these funds will allow the company to continue its international development while strengthening its financial structure, allowing it to sign more long-term contracts with large accounts” specifies FittingBox. The Toulouse start-up, led by the young Benjamin Hakoun (31 years old, graduate of HEC) and Ariel Choukroun (engineer Insa, doctor of science INP), currently employs about forty people. In 2012, it claimed 2 million euros in turnover, 50% of which was exported, as stated in its official site.
