whatsapp_Google_FrenchWebThe messaging app WhatsApp has stopped sharing information with Facebook in Europe for advertising purposes. This temporary measure follows concerns expressed by the European authorities on the protection of the private data of WhatsApp users. Germany, in September, then the United Kingdom, in early November, had already banned Facebook from carrying out such a practice.

Last August, the mobile application, bought by Facebook in February 2014 for $ 19 billion, changed its terms of use to share various information, including the phone number of WhatsApp users, with Facebook. This choice was part of the strategy of integrating brands into the heart of messaging, wanted by Mark Zuckerberg.

At the end of October, the G29, which brings together the national data protection authorities of the Member States of the European Union (including the French CNIL), then asked WhatsApp “to stop sharing the data of its users until that the appropriate legal guarantees can be provided ”.

Brittany boxThe French Tech Rennes put his start-ups in a box to sum up the best of his region, and sent it to Frenchweb ! Inside, the companies Artefacto, Golaem, Nemeus, Dazzl, Tykaz, YogoKo. syntec-apec-nov2016With a growth rate of 2.8% expected this year, the French digital sector is doing well, if we are to believe the 2106 report produced by Syntec Numérique. In parallel with its activity report, the union of digital professionals also carried out, in partnership with Apec, a study concerning the recruitment forecasts for executive profiles in the IT sector.

First observation, 90% of IT companies plan to recruit at least one executive in the fourth quarter; this proportion drops to 55% if we consider companies in all sectors. Then, three-quarters of IT companies who had plans to recruit an executive in the first quarter of the year say they had difficulty finding suitable candidates, almost 10 points more than companies in all sectors. Finally, the last lesson of the study, 59% of IT companies use social networks to recruit an executive profile, where they are only 34% to do so, all sectors combined, and 48% use cooptation to recruit ( against 36% of companies, all sectors combined).

If the American example shows that we must take precautionary opinion polls in matters of politics, it also shows us that social networks and web searches can be more representative of the opinion of citizens. . A few days before the first round of Primary from the right and the center, it is therefore tempting to analyze how each of the candidates behaves on social networks.

The social media monitoring and analysis agency TalkWalker took an interest in the question, and synthesized the results of its research in a infographics. We see in particular that Nicolas Sarkozy who tweets the most, while François Fillon retweets information from his community. In terms of impact, it is Alain Juppé who wins the prize for the “most efficient tweet”, retweeted more than 1,250 times.
