Facebook allows tags in comments. Little spam between friends?

Facebook now offers the possibility of inserting tags in comments left on the site. As for Twitter, all you have to do is type the “@” sign then the first letters of a person or a page and Facebook offers you a corresponding list of friends. Once the right person has been chosen from the menu, their full name will be entered in the comment without the “@”.

This feature, already available in the statutes, is causing some controversy. Indeed, administrators can now promote their page by responding massively to their tags on the walls of site members or on other high traffic pages. Each “tagged” friend receives a notification and this may be the problem even though, as with photo IDs, it is possible to remove their tagged name.
