EY announces the acquisition of Bluestone Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in data analysis (statistical engineering, big data, data visualization, etc.). The company operates for clients in the marketing and finance sectors. Last year, the company achieved 9 million euros in turnover in 2014.

A “data analytics” center of 130 employees

“This is a strategic acquisition that will allow us to accelerate our development and our analytics offer. This operation will also allow us to transform our businesses in order to offer our clients unique and innovative offers in the areas of auditing and consulting, ”said Jean-Pierre Letartre, President of EY in France.

At the end of this operation, the Bluestone Consulting teams will join those of EY in order to form a center of 130 employees. “These skills in data science and analytics will be integrated into the consulting missions delivered by EY; they will also be used in its audit, transaction, legal and tax advisory business, ”explains EY.

Ensure your digital transformation

“This merger is the result of a common ambition: to accelerate the growth and improve the performance of our respective clients, by mobilizing for this all the potential of digital and big data”, declare Arnaud Laroche, CEO of Bluestone Consulting, and Karim Ben Djemiaa, EY partner.

With this acquisition, EY also intends to accelerate its digital transformation to meet the new demands of its customers. Last week, PwC, one of the consulting and auditing industry’s other “Big Four”, took over Nealite, an agency specializing in user experience design.
