Exoskeleton: the perfect combination of man and machine?

by bold-lichterman

The object of endless fantasies in an everyday media-professional frenzy, the imminent domination of machines is a subject of our times. This is no longer science fiction. Antoine Noel prefers to think of human-machine complementarity through the development of an exoskeleton for an “augmented” physiotherapist.

The idea is not to replace the manipulations of physiotherapists, their experience and their manual feeling, but to free them up time on things that a machine can do once properly calibrated. There are already many devices to support the practice of physiotherapy, Atlas goes even further by mobilizing the lower back to relieve patients who suffer from severe pain.

Trained by Centrale Lille and MIT, Antoine gives us here his vision of the exoskeleton in the service of the health of our fellow citizens.
