YaSound, a French social radio platform, has just launched a web version and announces an upcoming major update of its iPhone app. The start-up imagined by Jean-Marc Plueger, (ex-Jiwa) and Sébastien Métrot (ex-MXP4), is also announcing its launch in the United Kingdom and the United States.
The start-up publishes a free application for iPhone, available since March 2012, which makes it possible to easily and legally create an Internet radio accessible everywhere: on mobile, on a website or integrated into a Facebook page.
Thanks to its new web platform, YaSound intends to offer new possibilities to listeners: the radios can now be listened to in HD quality and a personalized selection is automatically offered to the user according to his musical tastes. New options also offered in the new version of the iPhone application.
With the ambition of international development, Yasound has developed its platform and its mobile application for the American and British market.
As a reminder, Yasound has obtained 30% backing from two funds: Kima Ventures and Jaïna Capital, and Freddy Mini, CEO of Netvibes.
Last March, Frenchweb met the founder of Yasound, Jean-Marc Plueger.
