by bold-lichterman

Created in France by Fabrice Sergent and Julien Mitelberg, following the sale of Club Internet to Deutsche Telekom, Cellfish Media changed in a few years, to become an international group renamed Bandsintown.

The New York-headquartered company provides advertisers with access to more than 19 million users, music and concert fans. Bandsintown is used by 300,000 artists (60% of touring artists, 83% of the Billboard top 100) to promote their show dates to their fans on major networks and social media.

For its part, Cellfish Media has developed a mobile content distribution activity in Europe through the main telecom operators. The European entity which achieves a turnover of more than 50 million euros, with 150 employees in Paris and Düsseldorf, has just been sold to its management and director Nicolas d’Hueppe, accompanied by the HDL investment fund Europe.

For Fabrice Sergent, Co-Founder and CEO of Bandsintown Group “Our ambition for Bandsintown requires concentration and resources: we want to accelerate the growth of what has become the world leader in the discovery of shows with what has become the leader world of discovery of
shows on Iphone, Android and Facebook. This is no longer compatible with maintaining a very different activity based in France ”

This sale allows for a refocusing of Bandsintown’s development in the United States and the interest in offering the autonomy necessary for CellFish’s growth in Europe.
