The main trends for 2015 seen by Franck Perrier, founder and CEO at Idaos & Digital Academy.
Whether for pure players or traditional distributors, the frontiers of e-commerce are shifting: convergence of online and offline in the retail, multiplication of points of interaction with the consumer, emergence of opportunities in the mobile … are major trends. What developments can we expect in e-commerce in 2015? Among the 7 main trends for 2015:
- The explosion of digital-store: new technologies will make it possible to enrich the experience and the relationship of customers (who thus become more autonomous, and, more demanding);
- The rise of mobile: Internet users tend to make their purchase twice as fast on mobile than on computer. This is all the more true with regard to the 18/24 year old target;
- Rivalry Pure Players VS Click & Mortars: 9 out of 10 buyers made at least 1 purchase on a pure player site during the last 6 months, while 7 out of 10 buyers went to a site click & mortar, thus indicating a certain preference for pure player sites;
- The predominance of the customer experience: if they have a great customer experience, 89% of online shoppers are willing to spend more.
