Domo, an American company specializing in cloud BI, has just raised 131 million dollars (around 117 million euros) in series D, in particular from Credit Suisse and other investors, some of whom are already in the capital. This new operation brings to $ 590 million the amounts raised by the company since its creation, and to $ 2 billion its valuation, she indicates.
Founded in 2010, Domo develops business intelligence software aimed at professionals in several sectors (finance, sales, marketing, etc.). The company thus claims several major accounts in its customer portfolio, such as MasterCard, eBay and DHL. At the end of this new fundraising, Domo announces that it has passed the $ 100 million mark in terms of invoicing.
In this sector, Domo must however face competition from other players, including the American Tableau Software, or even from Birst, an American company which has raised 65 million dollars. In France, the Montpellier start-up BIME, acquired last year by the American Zendesk for 45 million dollars, is also positioning itself in this market.
With this new investment, Domo hopes to validate its business model. The company also announces at the same time the launch of an investment fund of 50 million dollars which aims to finance companies which develop offers of business cloud for its platform and the Domo AppStore.
