Deutsche Telekom stops unlimited fixed internet in Germany

Deutsche Telekom has announced the introduction, from May 2, of a monthly limit on the volume of exchange for its fixed Internet access offers, like what is done in mobile.

The goal of this operation, which will only concern new customers: To fight against excessive Internet consumers. The operator is also the first major European player to opt for such a restriction.

The maximum volume of consumption is set only according to the flow of the offer and does not depend on the underlying technology. When this limit is exceeded, the speed will automatically reduce to 384 kbit / s, or almost nothing.
