Good to know, a French team is currently recruited for the opening of a subsidiary in France …
Megabus (subsidiary of Briton Stagecoach) may be able to continue on the road. At least that’s the wish of Samir Plisson, the current deputy director of operations of Mégabus France. The coach company is uncertain since the management’s decision to stop its activities in France soon due to the non-renewal of its subcontracting contract with Flixbus France, its only partner.
In this delicate context, Samir Plisson expressed his interest in taking over the company and thus safeguarding the 170 jobs at Mégabus France. It is therefore in this sense that he formulated his intention to buy the assets of the company on September 12. In an internal memo, the CGT announced “officially the takeover offer made by Samir Plisson”, believing that it will allow Megabus “to come out of this troubled period”. As a reminder, the liberalization of the coach market would have brought in 40 million euros in turnover for transport companies in 2015.
