Data marketing: Sépage raises 140,000 euros for its travel recommendation solution
The Parisian start-up Seperation completed a second round of fundraising for an amount of 140,000 euros from three private investors, one from Luxembourg and two from France. This new investment brings the amounts raised by the company to 270,000 euros since it was founded in March 2013 by Milan Stankovic. She joined Agoranox, the incubator of Criteo, in March 2013.
“After a development phase, we want to speed up the marketing of our offer, especially internationally,” explains the company, which intends to recruit two salespeople to strengthen its team of 12 people. The rest of the fundraising will be invested in marketing operations.
Sépage offers a SaaS advertising targeting solution for e-tourism sites. With its semantic web technology, Sépage has developed a data marketing, called GlobeAdvent, offered in a system plug-and-play. This uses data from recommendations and search engines to suggest targeted trips to Internet users. Sépage was awarded in April 2014 by the technological innovation prize at the Next Tourism congress.
In terms of competition, the founder of Sépage recognizes the expertise of the company Compario, which offers SaaS optimization solutions for e-commerce. “We are interested in companies that offer complementary services to ours. Maybe we can work together in the future ”suggests Milan Stankovic.
The company works mainly with the Nomade-aventure travel agency, specializing in sports trekking abroad, but also forges expert partnerships with the Ministry of Culture, the Pernault-Ricard and Kering companies.
