The latest monthly ranking of sites subscribing to the Médiamétrie-eStat study has just been published. This is accompanied by a focus on website traffic according to mobile operating systems.
The study highlights in particular a great breakthrough for Android. Indeed, with a concentration of 33.6% of mobile access, Google’s operating system almost doubles its market share compared to January 2011.
This growth is therefore taking place to the detriment of Apple’s iOS system, which for its part recorded a drop of 12.2 points compared to last January. A drop observed from June when Apple then peaked at 71.5% visit share. Despite this erosion, iOS still remains the dominant operating system in France and thus accounts for 58.7% of visits.
The market shares of the operating systems of Blackberry, Nokia and Windows remain, for their part, anecdotal. Together, they barely exceed 7% of visits.
