CybelAngel, a Parisian company specializing in cybersecurity for businesses, caused a sensation at Slush, the European Tech festival in Helsinki, Finland. Co-founded in 2012 by Erwan Keraudy, CybelAngel won the start-up competition and is offered a check for 500,000 euros. More than 2,000 European start-ups competed, but it was the French who came out on top in the final.

CybelAngel’s pitch will be broadcast next week on FrenchWeb on video.

Founded in 2006 by Gael Duval, JeChange has developed a comparator of multi-sector services (telecoms, electricity, gas, insurance, mutual health insurance, etc.) to reduce household fixed charges. Currently, the start-up claims 180,000 contracts generated each year and 850,000 unique visitors per month.

This takeover should allow JeChange to set sail internationally. “This acquisition represents an important milestone taken by JeChange in the internationalization of its activities and announces future projects that are always more ambitious in terms of development, in Spain and in other horizons.“, Explain Philippe goold, Managing Director of JeChange.

YouTube GamingAfter YouTube Kids for children, the video platform has just launched the application YouTube Gaming in France. This, available on Web and mobile (iOS and Android), offers a space designed for video game enthusiasts, allowing them easier access to videos and live broadcasts relating to the gaming world.

According to YouTube, the platform lists more than 25,000 video games, from the latest FIFA to GTA V, including Mario and Zelda. To date, France has 20 gaming channels with more than a million subscribers (Squeezie, Cyprien Gaming, MrLEV12…) on YouTube. In addition, 30% of French users connected to YouTube are gaming fans, according to the video platform.

ca-technologiesCA Technologies, publisher of business applications software, announces that it has obtained a definitive agreement for the acquisition ofAutomic, an Austrian automation software publisher. The operation, estimated at 600 million euros, should allow CA Technologies to expand its offering while strengthening its presence in Europe. The functions specific to Automic will be directly integrated into the CA Technologies offer.

Following this acquisition, which will be effective during the fourth fiscal year of the American publisher, CA Technologies expects to see its forecast turnover increase by half a percentage point in 2017. Its global operating brand should, initially, decline by 1% over the 2017 financial year.
