German carrier FlixBus announced a fundraising round from Silver Lake and its historic investors, General Atlantic, Holtzbrinck Ventures and automaker Daimler. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Co-founded in February 2013 by André Schwämmlein, the company specializes in long-distance coaches in Europe. To date, FlixBus claims a presence in 20 countries and more than 1,000 destinations across Europe.
