Connected objects: the next big thing?

by bold-lichterman

The Hub Institute and Harris Interactive have carried out a study on connected objects, a market which should have 80 billion objects in 2020 according to estimates by Idate, for a value of more than 5,000 billion dollars by 2020 according to IDC.

In this context, the study focuses on the perception of this market by the general public, in particular the French, and its development potential, but also the obstacles to it. Thus, if connected objects will quickly become widespread among the general public, nearly one in two French people will get tired of them quickly, and less than one in two French people will be easily convinced when deciding on a purchase.
