CloudFlare, an American company specializing in securing and optimizing pages, has just raised $ 110 million from Fidelity, as the main investor, Google Capital, Microsoft, Baidu (the main search engine in China, with whom a partnership was announced last week) and Qualcomm. In the end, this new operation brings to 182 million dollars the total amounts raised by the company since its creation.
Based in San Francisco, Cloudflare develops website optimization solutions to promote page loading (especially when there are third-party widgets or ad servers), security against spammers and denial of service attacks (DDOS) and analysis traffic. It also offers offers to design Web App.
To get paid, the company markets its offers in the form of subscriptions, from 0 euros per month to more than 200 euros for the professional version.
On its website, CloudFlare claims more than 2 million active sites using its solutions, with free or paid versions. However, the company must count on competition from many players such as Incapsula.
