The French cloud service provider Oxya will pass under the American-Japanese flag. Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Hitachi and an American entity, has announced its intention to acquire the French specialist in cloud computing and SAP solutions. The amount of the transaction scheduled for the end of March was not specified.
The decision is proving interesting for the American company, which thus gets its hands on the Frenchman’s “200,000 users of SAP solutions”. “Customers are now asking for a variety of services online in order to keep up with market dynamics, while transforming the way they do business,” said Hicham Abdessamad, executive vice president of Global Services at HDS, quoted in the press release.
Oxya’s current CEO, Frédéric de Belloy, will retain his post after the acquisition. The French company, already present in the United States and China, hopes to continue its expansion under the bosom of the industrial group.
