FunPlus, the publisher of the “Family Farm” game on Facebook, has just raised $ 74 million (53 million euros, note) from Orchid Asia Group, GSR Ventures and Steamboat Ventures. This new investment will be used to accelerate the growth of the company through the launch of new games.

“This new round of funding will help us expand into new markets faster and recruit and hire the best game development talent around the world,” said Andy Zhong, CEO. “FunPlus is well positioned to become one of the fastest growing developers in social and mobile games,” adds Richard Lim, Managing Director of GSR Ventures.

Founded in 2010 by Andy Zhong and Yitao Guan, FunPlus has also developed other opuses such as Royal story or Family Farm Seaside, still on the same economic model, the free-to-play, which consists in providing free access to software in order to bill certain integrated services. It had already completed a previous round of funding of $ 13 million in 2012.

Family Farm had over 500,000 monthly active players 6 months ago.
