The Altice project values SFR at 15 billion euros.

BRIEF – The parent company of cable operator Numéricable announced on Tuesday that its SFR takeover offer was valid until Friday. “This project to merge Numericable and SFR secures employment and investment in the two entities and among subcontractors throughout the sector. It will allow an increase and an acceleration of investments in the fiber network aimed at supporting the government’s France Very High Speed plan ”explains the company.

As a reminder, Altice proposes a valuation of 15 billion euros of the operator in the red square – against 14.5 billion for the Bouygues plan -, of which 10.9 billion would be paid in cash, the rest being settled by an exchange actions.

A proposal that obviously displeases Xavier Niel, who spoke on the subject at a press conference. “If Altice buys SFR, then it is a perfect world for Free but execrable for the consumer, the market and France” he commented, while Iliad has reached an agreement with Bouygues for a takeover of its mobile antenna base in the event of victory for the Martin Bouygues group.
