Promoland has just announced a € 230,000 fundraising from private investors, as part of its development in the coupon market.
This capital contribution will firstly enable it to strengthen its R&D, to launch its application on iPhone and consolidate its service, in particular by deploying a large-scale sales strategy with leading brands.
The application, created at the end of December 2011 by François Moret, Loic Kueny and Valentin Flavenot, allows Internet users to benefit from discounts and gifts on supermarket shopping via a simple photo of a receipt taken with a mobile phone.
The concept is simple: each time the mobile user does their shopping, they take a photo of their receipt, linking the promotions on offer and send it to Promoland. It will be refunded immediately. The more tickets he sends, the more chances he has of winning prizes and the more promotions he receives on his favorite products.
Among the prizes offered: an e-reader, a Nikon camera, wine boxes, or a magnum of Ruinart champagne.
Its founders plan to carry out a new substantial fundraising in the coming months.
Promoland was one of the 6 projects in the running for the best potential award at the HEC incubator forum 2011-2012 and was listed in the “100 start-ups to invest in” by Challenges.
