Launched a little less than a year ago in beta, Balumpa, a site specializing in geo-socialized outings, has just finalized a funding round of € 200,000 with of Oséo Nord-Pas de Calais, a banking partner and a private investor.
From the EuraTechnologies incubator, Balumpa offers Internet users the possibility to share, discuss and recommend cultural or leisure activities. Hyper-local and instantaneous, the web and mobile platform allows visitors to discover last-minute outings and around them.
Thanks to this capital increase, the start-up will be able to test its concept beyond the Lille metropolis. Balumpa intends to tackle 18 new French metropolises as well as Brussels. Also on the menu, the launch of a new iPhone application, giving full meaning to the concept of geo-socialization.
