8 million euros for ForCity to optimize the cities of tomorrow

ForCity, a start-up specializing in urban simulation, announces a first round of funding for an amount of 8 million euros. The investment was led by CM-CIC Innovation with Caisse des Dépôts, Omnes Capital and Axeleo Capital.

The market

Founded in 2014 by François Grosse and Thomas Lagier, ForCity develops urban simulation solutions. Intended for communities and businesses in the energy, development, environment and real estate sectors, the technological tool enables them to better predict and optimize the cities of tomorrow. The 4D platform thus performs simulations to help in decision-making for the construction and development of urban spaces. Companies like Veolia, Keolis or the Métropole de Lyon are among ForCity’s customers.

The start-up claims a turnover of 2.4 million euros. It has 82 employees in 3 offices in Lyon, Rennes and Paris.

The objectives of the Start-up

With this investment, ForCity wishes to expand internationally as well as develop its technological tool. “The two major axes are the constant improvement of the simulation platform and the enrichment of the product range.», Explains Jean-Marc Kerisit, Technical Director of ForCity.
