The start-up Virtuo, which is developing an online car rental service, has completed a funding round of 7.5 million euros. The transaction was carried out with the investment fund Balderton Capital, managed by Bernard Liautaud.
Created in 2015 by Karim Kaddoura and Thibault Chassagne, Virtuo had seduced Xavier Niel and Thibaud Elzière, co-founder of Fotolia, during a first round of financing of 1.7 million euros in November 2015.
Thanks to this service, users can directly rent, by smartphone, premium vehicles, parked at ten sites in France (Orly, Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, Gare Montparnasse, Gare de Lyon, etc.).
