The French software publisher Oodrive, specializing in secure cloud, has completed a funding round of 65 million euros. Tikehau Capital, MI3 and NextStage participated in the transaction. This must be finalized by next May.

Imagined by two brothers, Stanislas and Edouard de Rémur, and Cédric Mermilliod, the start-up Oodrive was born in 2001. The three co-founders were working at the time, remotely, on a business project in the field of logistics when they come up against the limits of courier services: it is impossible to easily exchange large documents related to their business plan. This is where the idea of ​​”create a hard drive on the internet», Stanislas de Rémur explained to us. Since, Oodrive has marketed its cloud solutions that allow documents to be shared, protected and electronically signed.

The French group now has more than 350 employees in various European countries (France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain) as well as in Brazil and Asia. The R&D center is based in Paris and employs over 150 people. Oodrive solutions are used in more than 90 countries and in 14 languages. They equip more than a million users and nearly 15,000 organizations of all sizes and in all industries.

The objectives of the Start-up

With this investment, Oodrive plans to accelerate its international growth, mainly in Europe. This expansion must be accompanied by the strengthening of the product offer offered by the French company.
