OpenDataSoft announces that it has raised 5 million euros from Aster Capital, Salesforce Ventures and Aurinvest. The open data platform wishes to expand its teams in France, for the R&D department which already represents 50% of its workforce, and in the United States, for sales and marketing departments.
OpenDataSoft offers a data visualization service that is difficult to understand and accessible by everyone. The Parisian start-up already has 80 clients in ten countries. 85% of them are in France and local communities represent half of them. With this new fundraising, OpenDataSoft aims to strengthen its positions at the global level.
Accenture announces having acquired Allen International, specializing in design consulting, and in particular to banking establishments. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Allen Internation supports banks in their projects to reduce costs, but also to improve customer engagement. It claims more than 350 banks among its clients, some of the largest globally.
With this acquisition, the consulting firm is strengthening its offer in terms of supporting banks in their digital transformation. “To counter the trends that affect their profitability, banks must clearly define the role and value of their branches so that they best respond to new consumer demands ”, Explain Sushil Saluja, Executive Director of Accenture’s Financial Services business for Europe, Africa and Latin America.
The group Feminine, which publishes sites for women, is pursuing its strategy of diversifying its activities. Auféminin is thus embarking on the path of e-commerce with the launch of a snack box. Baptized Gretel, it offers to receive every month, at home or in the office, 5 snacks from a selection of 50 products, in particular Brazil nuts or Canadian cranberries, with the support of the Marmiton culinary recipes site.
By launching this box, the Auféminin group has set itself the goal of changing the eating habits of consumers to allow them to snack while maintaining a balanced diet. Auféminin guarantees a fully customizable box among 300 possible combinations. Gretel is available from 13.90 euros.
This Wednesday October 26, from 10:30 am, Bruno the Mayor, candidate for the primary of the right and the center, will visit Numa, the start-up accelerator based in Paris. During his visit, he will meet entrepreneurs with international ambitions.

Intel Capital, the IT giant’s investment fund, announced that it has finalized 12 new investments in start-up capital, for a total amount of $ 38 million. Presented on the occasion of Intel Capital Global Summit, which runs until October 26 in San Diego, these new equity investments are part of the fund’s investment strategy, which targets projects “at the cutting edge of innovation” in terms of IoT, virtual reality, or connected vehicles. Note, three of the twelve investments concern the sports and health sectors.
If the details of the investments are not specified, it should be noted that the French start-up Chronocam is notably among the twelve companies chosen by Intel. The latter announced that it had completed a fundraising campaign in the amount of $ 15 million. Another observation is that the American giant has taken equity stakes in two Chinese companies (Eazytec and Grand Chip Microelectronics), and a Canadian company (Kinduct). The other eight companies are American.
