TalkwalkerSocial media monitoring and analysis agency Talkwalker raised € 5 million from Dutch investment firm Main Mezzanine Capital. The company has developed a social media research, monitoring and analysis tool. The latter is based on technology that scans more than 150 million web sources in real time in 187 languages, according to the company. To date, the start-up claims more than 600 customers around the world, including Microsoft, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and PwC.

With this investment, Talkwalker plans to accelerate the development of its monitoring and analysis platform, and to strengthen the workforce of its sales team in Europe and the United States. This funding will also be used by the company to focus on artificial intelligence within its platform.

Olivier CeuilleThe start-up microDON, which developed the collection of microdons from consumers, completed a funding round of 2.7 million euros led mainly by the Maif Social and Solidarity Investment fund. IDES, managed by Esfin Gestion, and FCPR Mandarine Capital Solidaire, managed by Mandarine Gestion, also took part in this operation.

Founded in 2009 by Olivier Ceuille (opposite) and Pierre-Emmanuel Grange, microDON develops support solutions for associations via micro-donation. Among the measures launched by the company, “rounding”, a solution available at checkout, online, on salaries or even bank statements, has made it possible to recover nearly 2 million euros donated to 350 interest associations general in 2016, according to the company.

This investment should allow microDON to improve its platform to accelerate the development of participatory sponsorship in France. “We hope to continue our expansion in France and thus quickly catch up with our friends from across the Channel. In a few years, we intend to collect tens of millions of euros for the general interest», Explains Pierre-Emmanuel Grange, founder and president of microDON.

Instagram-analyticsLess than six months after its launch, the Instagram Stories tool brings together a community of 150 million users, according to data communicated by the American company. Building on its success with brands, one third of the most popular Stories were created by brands, Instagram announces the launch of two new tools to strengthen the monetization of this audience.

The first tool presented, “insights”, available via the brands’ profile, allows them to access statistical information about their community. The photo and video sharing application also announces that it is testing a new format of immersive advertising in Stories with 30 global brands, such as Nike, Netflix, and General Motors.
