In a context of strong competition, the operator claims to cover 50% of the population.

BRIEF – The leading telephone operator in France claims to have won over 1 million customers for its 4G offers. Holders of Sosh plans, its low-cost brand, “will automatically benefit from 4G from today and no later than January 14,” the company said.

In a very competitive market where the arrival of Free mobile – which announced a 4G offer for unchanged prices – forces traditional operators to review their pricing policies, Orange is making the quality of its infrastructure a key argument with a network ” 5,126 antennas in service and thus cover 50% of the population in mainland France as of January 1, 2014 ”.

By way of comparison, SFR claimed to be present in 567 French cities on December 1, 2013 for 40% coverage of the population against 63% for Bouygues Telecom.
